Employ'Net, a pathway to employment
Article written by: Myriam Neji (april 2025)
In today’s labor market, young people face not only unemployment but also underemployment. Many work under informal, intermittent, and precarious employment arrangements.
This issue has worsened in recent years due to the economic and financial crisis and the subsequent deterioration of the labor market.
The lack of employment opportunities is clearly linked to the overall state of the economy and the labor market, but it is also the result of mismatches between young people’s skills and employers’ requirements. All these factors can lead to long periods of unemployment, job searching, or low-skilled and insecure work.
CORP, a department of the Tunisian-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Tunisia), has fully recognized the importance of providing appropriate support to young people who are most at risk of losing touch with the labor market.
Through various partnerships with funding institutions, CORP works to deliver services that support both companies and candidates in meeting their recruitment needs.
These services are part of the new project entitled “Employ’Net”, whose main objective is to retrain up to 160 job seekers, including young graduates and young people from vocational training centers.
Running until May 2026, the project offers comprehensive support to young people and employment opportunities, notably through the organization of a job fair entitled CORP Village Job Fair, with the participation of several recruiting Tunisian and German companies.
It should be noted that the Employ’Net project, launched in December 2024, has initiated career transition actions in high-potential sectors such as construction and public works through the profession of Plumber, metallurgy through Welder, and management through Assistant Manager.
In conclusion, the causes of unemployment are multiple. Addressing them requires innovation in order to meet companies’ exact needs through a new vision of employment—one to which CORP is continuously committed.
